21 Months

Have I told you lately I'm still loving my sister locks? Guess not. It's been a while since I've blogged. Good news though, I've finally bought another camera. So I'm hoping to update with more regularity. The pictures shown were taken this past weekend. The style was achieved by applying setting lotion (I used "Jamaican Mango& Lime Lock & Styling Lotion"), parting the locks in about 9 longitudinal sections, and flat twisting each section from top to bottom. The next morning I separated the twist and finger styled.

So, to answer my original question...Yes, I'm still loving my sister locks.

God Bless.

SO glad ur back, sis. Next time, don't stay away so long. :) You look fresh and wonderful, and your locks - tremendous growth!

Just one question, though. Is it safe to use Jamaican Mango & Lime on SLs? I was told they're best used on traditional locks.

N'drea, I'm not sure if it's OK to use the Jamaican Mango and Lime on sisterlocks. I've read other sl blogs that have used this product on their locks so I thought I would try it. It seemed to work well. What do you use to set your locks with?

I don't have any rollers. I usually just keep my locks in the b&b style for a day after washing them, then loosen them to get a curly look.

If I have a special occasion, I'll use spiral rods to get a tighter, curlier look. The last time I went for my cut and shampoo, she set my hair damp on rollers. No setting lotion. Just water.
